Description
This award recognizes excellence where the principles of operating a successful farm or agricultural related business with diversification, innovation, sound business practices, workplace safety, and demonstrates a commitment to the environment and community involvement as part of their corporate identity.

Description
This award is designed to recognize innovation success by a business which adapts to market place challenges resulting in a competitive advantage.

Business Leader of the Year
Description
The Achievement for Business Excellence Award for Business Leader of the Year is awarded to an individual who exemplifies the qualities of the business visionary. This person has shown outstanding success in business or industry through the development of a new process, product or service or for meaningful contributions to the local business community. Without imagination and a willingness to take risks, many of the innovative products and valuable services in today's marketplace would not exist. The Business Leader takes a vision and turns it into a profitable reality. Primary emphasis will be given to outstanding leadership attributes including an ethical business practice, a record of outstanding corporate citizenship, a proven record of business accomplishments and a commitment to the highest standards of management.
Business of the Year
Description
The Achievement for Business Excellence Award for Business of the Year This award winner is presented to one of tonight's nominees. It is awarded to a business that demonstrates overall success, judged according to certain financial criteria, growth, use of capital investment, exceptional performance in exporting goods, job creation, stability or community involvement.

Community Involvement Award
Description
To be awarded to the business that demonstrates exceptional performance in its support of recreation, amateur sports, arts and culture, charitable or non-profit volunteer groups. Judging will take into account relative size of business.

Description
This award is presented to the business or organization that has best demonstrated excellence, innovation, and originality in traditional or new-media marketing. Which has had a positive effect on sales and product recognition. The jury evaluates the success of a marketing program giving consideration to the nature of the product and the relative size of the business.

Description
The award recognizes a locally owned and operated business that has earned an engaged and loyal following from the community/customers. Online customer voting will take place the week prior to the MJBEX Gala.
Pillar of the Community Award
Description
This award is designed to recognize pillar and cornerstone business leaders in Moose Jaw & District who have demonstrated excellence over an extended period of time and whose business has contributed to the economic well-being of Moose Jaw and district. The business must have been in continuous operation for at least fifteen (15) years.
